    The Tony Soprano Challenge: 2 months of NoFap + Cold Showers + 30 min Meditation.

    Saw this post on lll and thought I might post it here.

    I really need something like this right now as I've been in a bad place lately, so fuck it I'm on it. Anyone want to try it along with me?

    Start date: 29th of September 2013

    Ending: 29th of November (The 29th happens to be my birthday so that shall be a nice birthday present lol)

    Here is the post:

    Note: If you have any heart conditions, high blood pressure or any serious ilness that could be affected from cold showers please check with your doctor before taking considering this challenge.

    NoFap Rules

    No masturbating
    No porn
    No edging (No orgasms)
    Sex is ok
    If you feel the penis tingle force yourself out of it.
    Nocturnal emissions/ wet dreams are permissible.
    If you watch porn even once your out.
    If you wank even once your out.
    Ejaculating during Sex is the only times its allowed.

    Meditation Rules

    Atleast 30 minutes of meditation.
    Must be zen or a type of focus meditation.
    If you miss a day your out.
    Holosync or any other brainwave audios are allowed.
    Not every meditation session is going to be perfect so as long as effort was put in you will be ok.


    Cold shower Rules

    Cold showers only.
    No hot showers whatsoever nor starting with hot and going with cold.
    Pue cold beginning all through the end.
    You must stay in the shower for atleast 3 minutes but preferably 5.
    Fail to do this once and your out


    My own recomendations to help get the most out of this challenge.

    Chamomile Tea - soothes the sympathetic nervous system.
    Green tea & Dark chocolate 80%+ cocao - high antioxidants (Tyler recomended)
    Bananas - A natual alernative to beta blockers. Mild effects for controlling stage fright and anxiety.
    Spinach and Brocoli - two most importants greens.
    Cranberry juice - Good for detoxifying the lymphatic system. I like to mix it with water.
    Exercise - something i dont do but start doing.
    Drink lots of water for hydration


    Elimimate completely

    Soda
    Fast food
    Junk candy
    Processed meat
    Trans fats





    Purpose is build extreme will power, transcend consciesnous, boost testosterone, reduce fears and become a golden sex god.

    No hate on your plan. I am happy that you are taking initiative, even though I think the no fap thing is bogus. However why is this called the Tony Soprano challenge?

    That was the name of it on lll lol.

    I guess its because he's a badass who has that killer instinct that will get him what he wants,
    and this challenge will turn you into a beast like him because its so extreme.

    Just to give you perspective.

    I drink soda all the time.
    I hit up fast food at least 3x a week
    I masturbate
    I don't meditate

    I still got to advanced level of pickup. If you have done everything else, by all means go for it. But if this is your main focus, you are focusing on the wrong thing. Its like a guy who doesn't do squats, deadlifts, and bench but is doing all these wrist curl routines to get gains.

    Agreed with Squattin,

    This could be just another one of those "Get good at pickup by doing everything except pickup" which obviously makes no sense.

    Make sure you approach.

    I think you are missing the point of this. I know that doing this alone won't get someone to the advanced level.

    The aim is to increase willpower, reduce fear by becoming more in touch with yourself and increase general well-being and confidence which will help pick up.

    Pick up is not the only reason I'm doing this, it will also help me in other areas of my life.

    And I didn't think I had to mention you are still obviously going to need to approach alot.

    If my mom turned on the heater at night then I would consider cold showers. It's possible to freeze to death driving to uni at 7:30 in the morning when the car heater is broken.

    To all those in doubt, just try it for yourself. Don't do it for solely pickup, but do it to make yourself a better person by working out, meditating and really getting to know yourself. This forum is about support and constructive criticism and not about talking with disdain to others who want to learn pickup or better themselves. If I get a positive effect from NoFap or meditating and it works for me you continue to live your lives in your comfort zones and disregard it.

    It reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago when Tebow was playing for the broncos. Apparently one of the quarterbacks coaches was asked what Tebow would do over the summer to improve and he said he didn't know where Tebow was. Turned out he was in Florida doing MMA training.

    Not sure if that story was true or how much time Tebow spent over his summer learning MMA, but it would obviously have been a waste of time for a guy that needed to get better reading defenses and throwing the ball.

    So my two cents when it comes to challenges - make sure the challenge is addressing the most important areas of your life and is not just a distraction.

    I'M IN.

    I've been meditating for the past few months anyway, to find a higher state of mind. Anyway where you wrote "Must be a zen or focus type of meditation"; meditation doesn't have anything to do with focus.. it can seem like that cause it's really hard in the beginning to meditate, so people think they have to focus, to concentrate like they usually do with hard stuff. But meditation is about just "being", and forgetting all your thoughts.. it's about becoming one with the universe so to say, so focusing is not gonna help.

    Also i already stopped eating all the chemical foods, stopped taking non natural medicines, haven't turned on tv for more than 3 years, quit videogames, stopped caring about what other people think about me and started to enjoy shit..

    So yeah anyway great idea i'm definitely gonna do this with you guys, this is gonna change us profoundly.

    Squatincassanova definately has a point though, this meditating and nofap shit is to IMPROVE your game not REPLACE it. you still gotta be approaching, you can't just meditate a hot girl onto your cock. I do it to improve my mood and focus for day to day life like studies and having will power for working out and shit.

    Yeah man, mainly I feel HORNY AS FUCK but also really focused. I've read like three big ass books in the last week and understood it all, when I get up in the morning I feel amped to go out and do shit and I've been working out and the last few times I tried gymming I didn't have the willpower but now thanks to all the meditating I'm able to get my ass to the gym every day. Also I've found I don't need to approach as many sets to get in state, I almost have like a permenant low level buzz all day from all the pent up sexual energy in my body, this could all be a placebo but yeah I definately feel different.
